I'm sorry Kerry Healey has decided not to run for the US Senate. She has excellent state-wide credentials and recognition, and is an articulate, thoughtful, smart and creative individual. She'd add a lot to the national scene. The debates would have been high-contrast and . Unfortunately, the US senate election process is rather like a meat-grinder these days. My second choice would be Senator Bruce Tarr from Gloucester. He's full of energy and enthusiasm, and has a unique understanding of the Massachusetts maritime and fishing industry....and, after all, two thirds of the Commonwealth residents live in coastal and river communities!
