It would be hard to argue that anyone had a better week than conservatives. With two Supreme Court victories in four days — first striking down a Massachusetts law creating buffer zones around abortion clinics, then ruling family-owned businesses need not provide birth control coverage to employees — they’ve advanced their causes and rankled Democrats.
Blame the lobsters. Sounds like an only-in-New-England excuse and not the one Keolis Commuter Services wanted to make on its first day running the state’s commuter rail system. But after a lobster truck crashed into an overpass, halting Franklin line trains, the company had little choice. Horrible start? No. But not a great one, either.
