Looking ahead to the debates

Between now and the Sept. 9 state primary, candidates for political office will engage in numerous debates and joint appearances, many of which will be televised.

Among them are forums for the Democratic candidates for governor, Martha Coakley, Steve Grossman, and Don Berwick; the Republican candidates for governor, Charlie Baker and Mark Fisher; and the Democrats running for attorney general, Maura Healey and Warren Tolman.

While this list is not exhaustive — and details are subject to last-minute changes — here are some of the planned forums and debates coming up.

Republican gubernatorial candidates

■ A taped debate on NECN, hosted by Jim Braude and airing at 6 p.m. on Sept. 5.

Democratic gubernatorial candidates

■  A 30-minute taped debate hosted by Jon Keller, airing in full on WBZ-TV (Channel 4) at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.

■  A televised Boston Media Consortium debate from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

■  A live debate on NECN from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, hosted by Braude.

Democratic candidates for attorney general

■ A live debate on NECN from 6 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, hosted by Braude.

A Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce forum on Wednesday from 7:30 to 9:15 a.m.
