Ben Carson’s campaign makes an unfortunate typo

It seemed a bit odd – to say the least – that the candidate who spoke recently at the National Right to Life Convention and once likened abortion to "wanton slaughter" would "defend" Planned Parenthood.

But that's the message Dr. Ben Carson's campaign sent out late last week. The Republican contender for the White House is scheduled to speak at a protest rally in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday.

Carson's campaign first sent out a media advisory Friday saying he planned to deliver remarks at the "Women Betrayed Rally to Defend Planned Parenthood."

Eight minutes later, Carson's campaign aide sent a revised advisory correcting the name of the event to the "Women Betrayed Rally to Defund Planned Parenthood."

There was no mention of the typo or explanation of how it happened — just a silent revision.

Whoops!
