Romney's tenure at Bain

The documents below offer conflicting dates on when Mitt Romney left Bain Capital. The presumptive Republican presidential nominee has said he left the company in 1999, but SEC filings list him at the company after that time.

Page 24 of this SEC document from 2001 lists Mitt Romney as the CEO of Bain Capital, two years after he has claimed he left the company.

 

 

 

 

On page 18 of this 2011 public financial disclosure form, Romney states he left Bain in 1999.
