Religious sites on high alert in France

PARIS — France is boosting security at Jewish and other religious sites after blanks were fired at a synagogue and police accused a suspected cell of radical Islamists of ties to a grenade attack on a kosher grocery.

President Francois Hollande sought Sunday to allay tensions between Jews and Muslims aggravated by a recent series of violent incidents in the country.

Why doesn't the headline name the victims of these attacks - French Jews? If a mosque had been attacked, the headline would shout "Muslims in peril."

My point is exactly what I said.  My comment is not about the French government.  It is about the reluctance of editorialists and headline writers at the Globe, NY Times, CNN, etc. to admit that there is far more violence in North America and Europe directed at non-Muslims by Muslims than there is violence directed against Muslims by non-Muslims.  Just sayin'
