WASHINGTON — The CIA rushed security operatives to an American diplomatic compound in Libya within 25 minutes after it had come under attack and played a more central role in the effort to fend off a nightlong siege than has been acknowledged publicly, US intelligence officials said Thursday.
The agency mobilized the evacuation effort, took control of an unarmed US military drone to map possible escape routes, dispatched an emergency security team from Tripoli, the capital, and chartered aircraft that ultimately carried surviving American personnel to safety, US officials said.

The CIA left their annex to help when they heard the gun fire etc. But the question is when did Pres. Obama & Joe Biden know?.....Within a couple of hours the state dept. knew about that attack, in fact they had a meeting on security 8/15 and were warned about the need of more security and this was denied and when the British ambassador was almost assassinated and the red cross moved out....and still no additional security which was requested was still denied. This is Pres. Obama's fault along with Hillary Clintons....they lied about a video was the cause....e-mails to these depts. proved wrong.....where is the media...covering the butt of Pres. Obama and the democrats that sent our UN ambassador around telling lies.
