GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip — Israel broadened its assault on the Gaza Strip on Saturday from mostly military targets to centers of government infrastructure, obliterating the four-story headquarters of the Hamas prime minister with a barrage of five bombs.
The attack came a day after the prime minister, Ismail Haniyeh, hosted his Egyptian counterpart in that very building, a sign of Hamas’ new legitimacy in a radically redrawn Arab world.

Hamas is an Arab proxy for Iran. The fanatics of Teheran are shooting rockets into Israel from Gaza in an effort to intimidate Israel. Their ultimate goal is to develop a nuclear bomb and then destroy Israel, either by forcing Jews to emigrate or by launching a nuclear attack.
All Americans who love democracy and human life should support Israel's right of self defense. The rocket attacks on Israeli cities and towns must stop. Iran must halt its nuclear weapons program.

Civilian deaths in Gaza are, obviously, the responsibility of the terrorists who are firing the rockets. How could anyone disagree with this?
