The war in Iraq was a strategic miscalculation and the single greatest blow to American power and prestige since Vietnam. I supported the initial invasion in 2003 while serving as U.S. Ambassador to NATO but have long since been convinced that any good from it was far outweighed by the sacrifices of our soldiers and the significant damage to our international credibility.

So its all Bill Clinton's fault. Wow. How simple.
Brilliant article! You nailed it.
Haul Dick Cheney to the Hague and try him for war crimes! (And while you're at it, haul Henry Kissinger along for war crimes in the seventies.)
"stated reason for our invasion was blatantly and inexcusably wrong" this is patently false.
This article was just a play on words. The truth is America invaded Iraq based on a pack of lies. The article failed to mention the millions of Iraquis who fled to other countries and the mass movement of people from integrated neighborhoods to segregated ones. The press in America failed the people of the United States and they still have not learned to report the truth about why another country was bombed back to the stone age. In years to come real suffering of the Iraqui people would come out and it would not be nice. Iraq would also be broken up into three parts with the Sunni people being the biggest losers. That brand new US embassy would also begin to take in coming fire and just like the fall of Hanoi we will witness people hanging on to helicopters as the last of the americans leave Iraq.
