Romney campaign propped up by super PAC

Romney sinks in primaries without significant donor support

Mitt Romney probably never imagined his current predicament, and certainly nobody else did: He was swept in the last three Republican primaries by the lightly regarded former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum; trails Santorum by 10 points in the latest Gallup poll; and limps into his home state primary in Michigan next Tuesday - a contest he may well lose. The Republican establishment is becoming ever more noisily dissatisfied with his candidacy, and if he can’t prevail on Tuesday, several prominent members appear poised to demand that he step aside. Their concern isn’t hard to fathom.

Mitt should drop out now. For the betterment of our country and the benefit of the inevitable Palin/Santorum ticket. Too funny!

Mitt is the only Republican with a chance to win (draw independent voters) Republicans are foolish to throw their vote behind Santorum. Its not like he's a new up and comer. He is a party guy that has been just as much a part of the problem as the president. Mitt seems like he is genuinely capable of working with others.

You should have waited another day before writing this. Romney mopped the floor with Santorum last night, and we're about to see the end game of Romney winning the nomination, starting with sweeps both in Arizona and Michigan. The candidate, once his candidacy truly becomes inevitable, will have plenty of time to consolidate, fence mend and fund raise, as he has successfully overcome past opposing candidates surges.*Insofar as Citizens United, Obama hated the decision, but loves the concept, having recently established a SuperPac himself. But he abandoned campaign finance reform four years ago, so who is the least bit surprised over the most recent Obama pivot?

. Contrary to popular assumption, the Democrats did not suffer under the new system. In 2007, candidate Barack Obama built an online fundraising machine that attracted small donors in record number But these donations are down so Obama, Mr Transparency, chose to receive PAC $
