The Wall Street spring

The numbers out of Wall Street last month were astonishing. The S&P 500 index was up almost 9 percent for the year. The Dow topped 13,000 for the first time since 2008, and the NASDAQ went over 3,000 for the first time since 2000. It is tempting to read it, though, in the context of a bitterly negative view of Wall Street. Aren’t the fat cats getting fatter? The stock market rally is a boon for people of all kinds.
