What sentimentalized, revisionist claptrap. These guys stole, corrupted and killed to make their fortunes. They bought governemnts and politicians. They wrecked violence on workers who attempted to unionize. They got their corrupt politican puppets to pay them outrageous amounts to built uneeded buildings and infrastructure. They used substandard materials. They also engaged in profitering and illegal stock manipulations that would rival today's finnaciers' activities. Hey, farah; there's a reason that they were called "robber barons". It ain't necessary to romanticize the scum of previous generaltions in order to point out the nefarious activities of today's scum.
