Saying it does not make it so. She sees laws passed to protect the citizens of the state of Arizona as "Draconian" and have been a disaster for Arizona and Mississippi". The citizens who live there would beg to differ. Arizona reacted to their inability to fund the social and medical programs for their criminal, illegal immigrants with these laws. Their children were being denied education funds to subsidize their schools and hospitals. A majority of these American citizens demand the enforcement of federal and state laws so willfully ignored by the federal justice department. Not everyone in Mississippi grows tomatoes or depends on the abuse of illegals who receive meager wages and horrible shacks to live in. This writer paints a picture distorted by her own views that dictate a lack of reason. No reasonable, sane person would presume that a legislative tabling of a law intended to promote the enforcement of laws is evil. She says, "The victory is comforting" to see all immigrants rights restored by a legislative move to table an anti-illegal immigrant law. Plainly stated, this is liberal hog wash and begs the question whether it should have been printed at all in a responsible journal like the Globe.

Well "profox" certainly got upset, but failed to note the point of the piece. Anti-immigrant legislation was defeated by the "conservatives" of the state. Why? Because it was felt to be anti-business. The same argument is being had here in Florida, the Tea Party wants it, business doesn't. Your point is well taken, Attaturk. However, I realized the business aspect of the article. My point is the verbiage used to describe the problem. Business certainly wants this cheap labor. No doubt, they control many of the "conservative" politicians with their purse strings. That does not mean that the citizens of the state agree. I feel strongly that the writers use of inflamatory language is designed to denigrate the Tea Party and conservatives in general. Owners who need cheap, migratory labor for their crops don't care what life is life for the illegals. They also do not care if their states go broke paying for their underpaid, uninsured workers education and medical care.
