And who has the wealth that the middle class - read the 99% - has lost? Yes, it's the super rich who are funding this year's campaigns - the 1%. This simple equation helps us to understand why we need a Democracy Amendment to overturn the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision, so that our votes will mean everything they should and money will be just money - isn't that enough - rather than free speech for corporations and unions. The Legislature should bring Senate bill 772 to a vote during this session, so that Massachusetts can join the call by the states for the Congress to propose just such an amendment for ratification by the states.
