JOANNA WEISS

The accidental women’s voice

If Rush Limbaugh thought that bullying would bury Sandra Fluke, then, hmmm, that plan kind of backfired.

Back in February, Limbaugh called Fluke a “slut” and a “prostitute” after she spoke before members of Congress, arguing that insurers (not taxpayers!) should fully cover birth control. A day later, Limbaugh said that, in exchange for contraception, Fluke should post videos of herself having sex online “so we can all watch.”

I see you and Joan are out in force today. Sandra Fluke is a 31 year old professional student, has she had a job yet?. Maybe if she worked she could afford to pay for her own birth control.....

If campaigning is not a "job", what "job" has Governor Romney been doing since 2008? I don't see that he was creating any jobs here in the USA with all that wealth, supplemented by the Bush tax cuts and off-shore tax havens.

Fluke should run for office: she has the same amount of experience here in the real world as the other Democrats who don't have a clue what they are doing... exactly none!!

Ms. fluke drew 10 people in Reno,Nevada yesterday.

Rush did her a favor by making her a celebrity. But in doing so, she has come to symbolize all that is wrong with Obamacare, and her appearance will only serve to get out the vote for Romney. She testified before congress that insurance companies should be required to cover her birth control pills, a harrowing burden that costs her about $10 per month. She did so, because the requirement infringes upon the religious freedom of Georgetown, a Catholic University. Go Sandra! You are showing the world why Obamacare is such bad law.

Really?

The Globe writers are getting desperate: The Democrat Party is getting desperate: Warren is getting desperate  - now they are trying to link Senator Brown with Limbaugh's comments against Fluke.

when you can afford to go to Europe with your boyfriend you can afford to pay $10.00 a month at Wal-Mart for your own birth control. Abortion is against many religions and the taxpayers should not have to pay for it....Let these wealthy liberals like Elizabeth Warren kicked in some money by a donations....they want everyone else to pay for the freebies they want...but with everyone's money but their own.....I would like to know how much Elizabeth Warren has donated to Planned Parenthood ( which does not give mamongrans that are a good way to find breast cancer).

What would liberals do without Rush Limbaugh?

A 31 year old woman who can't afford to pay for her own birth control? She perfectly embodies the modern Democrat party.

Only girls between the ages of 19 and 27 fall for the lie of 'strategic voting' and the idea that the government or the courts will come for women's wombs.  Most women grow-up and grow-out of this ignorance by the age of 30, or shortly after bearing children.  Fluke is an embarrassment to women, an embarrassement to her parents, and an embarrassment to common sense.  And women should be the first ones explaining why!!!!!!!

I'm puzzled by the fact that people seem to have forgotten that Scott Brown didn't just vote for the Blunt Amendment...he was one of the bill's 18 co-sponsors. Boston Magazine published an excellent article on this last May, which for some reason can no longer be found using the magazine's search engine. It is well worth reading: http://www.bostonmagazine.com/articles/2012/05/politics-and-birth-control-debate/

What if you are self insured like the Catholic Church? This policy infringes on our religious freedom forcing us to pay for something we find abhorrent. It's just not right

The accidental woman's voice drew a screaming throng of 10 people at a campaign speaking stop for Obama.

You go out in the sun, you buy sunscreen. You spread your legs you buy birth control. Can the solution be any simpler?
