Being from Massachusetts and a political junkie, I’m forever asked by people in other states what Mitt Romney is “really” like — as if the man running for president were a contestant in that old game show, “To Tell the Truth.” “Will the real Mitt Romney please stand up?”
Is he just a data-driven pragmatist, they want to know, or a privatizing plutocrat who wants to drown government in the bathtub? Is he a religious fundamentalist, or a live-and-let-live Republican like his predecessors in the governor’s office?

I have lived in Massachusetts my whole life and have watched Mr Romney during his political career. I have seen him go from a moderate Republican who was pro choice to a "severely conservative " who will likely tip the balance in the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v Wade. I am a lifetime Independent voter who likes voting for moderates. But unfortunately the Republican Party has become a party determined to erode all Government programs, regulations, and tax policies that in no small way created a once Great Middle Class. There is no middle ground left. If there were, both moderate Mitt and Scott Brown would have my vote.

Renee advocates returning to the 55 mph speed limit. What more do you need to know?
During his "first" run for POTUS, Romney made Massachusetts the butt of his jokes to extremist supporters nationwide as he disparaged marriage equality executed, much to his dismay, under his tenure. He also implemented petty dictates to block the implementation of changes to birth certificates for same sex couple adopting children in the Commonwealth, as reported in the Globe this past week. He blocked marriage to out-of-state, same sex couples, injurying the economy as he exrcised his spiteful policies to hobble the Supreme Judicial Court ruling. It was Governor Patrick that reversed those politices. Romeny is clearly ready, willing and able to do the same nationwide and we should be prepared for that sort of behavior if he is unfortunately, elected to be POTUS.
Renee Loth is a hard-Left ideologue whose views are way outside the mainstream. The same scary rant she now deploys against Ryan was used by her and her Globe colleagues against Reagan in 1980 and 1984. She is now and has been on the wrong side of history for many years, but there are two things you'll never hear from her: an admission that she was wrong and an apology.
