Fox News provided the evening’s entertainment

Somewhere in the middle of the election-night returns, I stopped flipping through the channels — watching the parade of giddy anchors, jacked up on caffeine and infographics — and settled on Fox News Channel. It wasn’t a partisan act, though I imagine Fox racked up lot of gloating liberal viewers Tuesday night. This was a matter of entertainment: On a night of far less tension than expected, this was where you got the high emotions.

Hours before the network declared for Obama, the hint of despair was palpable, though the expression of it varied by personality. Peggy Noonan described “a subdued feeling”; Liz Cheney groused that the Republican bench was better than Elizabeth Warren. Sarah Palin, remote from Wasilla, declared this “a perplexing time for many of us right now.”

I pray that this is the last we see of Rove, Palin, Sununu and Fehrnstrom.

....and Sanctorum,Perry, Akin, Mourdock, Trump, Gingrich, etc. Unfortunately, we still must tolerate the sight and sounds of Michelle Bachmann, but hopefully we get to send that "Queen of the Lunatics" into exile in the future.

Voting really IS the best revenge..

The Republican party is holding on for dear life. They became beholden to a radical right, refusing to adhere to the empathic principles of country or ever changing face, literally and metaphorically, of the nation and it's requirements for future. And as a result the GOP has isolated itself and appears headed for the same fate as the dinosaur.

I can't remember who it was but some high profile Republican complained about recently about not having enough "angry white guys", so someone at least recognizes the corner they've painted themselves into.

Fox just received a taste of humble pie.

Sadly I opted for PBS reasonably unbias reporting over the Fox propagand machine and missed it! Do you think Netflix will release it on DVD?

Geolovely, you can check out the highlights on youtube - search 'karl rove, today'.

Is this the last of Fehrnstrom? Could not be happier!

Still at it this morning Joanna, demonizing the enemy. I just hope now that the media will report what's really happening in this country.

says it all: " It wasn’t a partisan act,"

no mention of Fox being proven that they actually were LESS partisan than MSNBC

What? By whom? Both are about equally partisan. So what?

Roger Ailes built Fox News on the fiction that the world is as his employees say it is, or that it would become so by them saying it often enough, but for the FNC leadership, it was always a con. The problem with conning the rubes is that you run the considerable risk of conning yourself eventually, and that seems to have happened.

I couldn't bring myself to watch Fixed news, but they tell me that watching Rove melt-down was priceless. Maybe it will go viral on YouTube.

This column was unnecessary. We won, but be gracious. We need compromise and compassion now more than ever, and this does nothing to advance anybody's goals.

Fox was indeed entertaining, but was also the first to call several states for Obama.  I did see a bit of the Rove meltdown.  Generally, I did think they looked professional in their coverage.
