When people switching away from sulfur-burping coal plants to gas, the United States decreased its greenhouse gases to the lowest levels in 20 years. Gas was going to save America, economically and environmentally. It was going to be “one of the five great story lines of the 21st century,” Congressman Markey said. It seemed too good to be true - until people starting insisting that it was. People started to blame fracking for everything from bad water to sick cows.
