Mr. Ramirez seems to do little in his cartoons other than recycle tired right wing talking points. Is he intended as some Jacoby-like counterpoint to the perception that the Globe editorial staff leans to the left?

so true. but obama did same thing for all his pet projects...its all so wasteful! just cut it by 50% accross the board-staffs, salaries, jobs, missiles, head start....and medicare, socal security, all of it...see if anyone except wash dc notices
