What makes a good marriage? Since June is the big wedding month, I asked some of my friends who have been married a long time — 617 years, if you add them all together — for their smartest piece of marriage advice. (A note on methodology and math: When it came to friends in same-sex couples, we counted the number of years they’ve felt married.) Here’s what I got back:
