City Council’s at-large members: A record of accomplishment

There are large forces at play in the race for the four at-large seats on the Boston City Council. At bottom, though, voters should pick their candidates based on who’s best for the job. The contest isn’t about personal ambitions, or any particular neighborhood, race, or gender. It’s about serving the citizens of Boston. On that basis alone, the four incumbents - Ayanna Pressley, John Connolly, Stephen Murphy, and Felix Arroyo Jr. - have distinguished themselves.

Ayanna Pressley gets my support because she has maintained a strong presence at City Hall. I know because I frequently see her outside at the lunch trucks and because Pressley gets results. Pressley formed and chairs the Committee on Women and Healthy Communities. This committee is stabilizing families and communities, reducing and preventing violence and trauma, and combating poverty. Pressley is a blue green hero for environmental justice work. Partnering with City's Environment and Energy Dept and private utilities to educate us on easy and effective ways to lower our carbon footprint while saving money. She is convincing the city that public transportation must be accessible to affordable housing and a fierce proponent for our way of getting around.

SUPERIOR MY BUTT. prone or comotose is more applicable to these 4 plus the remaining nine. it's a proven fact that you cannot wake the non-living, but it also has been found that porcines of the suffolk county variety can and do fly as exemplified by the boston city council, the mayor, the entire legislature right up to and through our executive branch. the herald in one their editorials today is talking about the no-shows on beacon hill. before ya get to beacon hill when talking about no-shows, wend your way to city hall and start with the city council and these people who you're endorsing and then like i said, add in the other nine. ma
