Now that casinos are legal in Massachusetts, the battle that dominated Beacon Hill for years heads directly to Bay State cities and towns. It’s one that municipalities should approach rationally, weighing each proposal carefully on its merits. just like theres NO SYSTEM, theres NO PROCESS. only closed door behing the publics back usual dirty dealing and we the people sit there and take it like sheep being led to a you know where. i've been to patriots place. i hate to tellya but a shopping mecca it ain't. on the other hand when it comes to a choice betweem eastie and foxboro, i'm pulling for foxboro as everything the former bag man turned mayor gets his grubby little paws on comes out looking like a cross betrween the boston public schools and downtown crossing. ma
Gaming can only turn a community into a pit. It will spawn the rise of cheap motels, chain restaurants, and attract the worst among us to gamble. There is nothing glamorous about casinos, and it is and it is sad to see my home state being seduced by the riches. Do not let this happen in Foxborough.
