Bike czar: Putting Boston on the trail

Boston would be a better place if all city officials could boast track records like that of outgoing “bike czar’’ Nicole Freedman. When Mayor Menino first promised to transform Boston from a car-centric maze of concrete into a friendlier city for bicycling, even the most ardent bike fans had reason to roll their eyes.
