Sox let another one get through the shortstop hole

The Red Sox traded a uniquely talented shortstop, Jose Iglesias, whom we could have enjoyed watching in the position for the next decade, for a veteran pitcher, Jake Peavy, whose best days are probably behind him and who will be most likely be gone in two years. In the process they helped one of the best teams in the league, the Detroit Tigers, who were about to lose their shortstop.

The Sox can’t wait to unload those great fielding shortstops, can they?
