The madness of our gun culture

It’s touching that the National Rifle Association has such concern about the nation’s mental health system (“NRA blames mental health system for mass shootings,” Sept. 23).

One would have to consider anybody delusional who believes that our high rates of murder and suicide by guns have nothing to do with the vast numbers of guns on our streets and in our homes. And delusions are a sign of mental illness.
