President is a sore winner

Scientists seeking evidence of parallel universes could do worse than to peruse your pages. For only there do we learn of President Obama’s “vision of unity” with Republicans (Page A1, Oct. 14).

Only days into his first term, Obama dismissed GOP input on the stimulus bill with two words: “I won.” The president’s legendary articulateness trumped any reverential descriptions your paper might have provided. “I won” pretty much still rules the White House.
