Could botched executions sound death knell for this form of punishment?

RE “OKLAHOMA killer dies after botched execution” (Page A8, April 30): It seemsthat the factor that might most rapidly move the United States to finally abolish the death penalty is not, perhaps unfortunately, a growing moral objection to such barbarism but rather the increasing inability to find anybody competent to carry it out.
