Obama brought immigration crisis on the United States

Regarding the editorial “Influx of children shows urgency of need for immigration reform”: Shame on the Globe. What the influx of child detainees shows is the need to secure our borders. The Obama administration has manufactured this humanitarian crisis by indicating that if minor children come here, they will be allowed to stay. This puts the security of Americans at risk by overwhelming border agents.

Because of our open southern border, gangs, drug cartels, and other criminals are also easily entering our country. The Globe should have called out Obama for dereliction of duty in enforcing our laws and keeping our country safe. If the border were known to be impervious, this so-called humanitarian crisis would not exist.
