IT IS beyond me how people can pay $100 for a theater ticket and then feel compelled to tweet during the performance. Have we reached the point where nothing is experienced unless it is communicated immediately to another person? Enjoying a performance and taking a few hours to reflect on the experience before notifying friends is too much to ask? We seem to have lost the ability or desire to be alone with our thoughts and enjoy the moment without the compulsion to tell the world.
