President behaves like a dictator

WITH HIS recess appointment of Richard Cordray to head the newly ginned-up Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, President Obama ignores the Senate, and puts into practice his new we-can’t-wait executive policy.

The Globe basically approves in its Jan. 9 editorial, and gives us the reason in the headline: “Obama bypasses the Senate, but it left him no choice.’’
