Bring troops home

SO HERE we are: the very event that vividly underscores the futility of nation-building in Afghanistan - attacks on NATO troops following the inadvertent burning of the Koran - is causing pundits to re-evaluate our departure. All while most people realize that after our departure, whenever it is, the country will still be the antithesis of the Western society we seek to establish. We need to admit this and stop our expenditures in Afghanistan.
