We’ve got to pull warmongers back from the brink

PRESIDENT OBAMA and the Republicans and Democrats in Congress who are pushing him to attack Iran are proving again the truth of the words of Herman Goering at Nuremberg in 1946: “Naturally the common people don’t want war. . . . That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along.’’

So, even though most Israelis and most Americans don’t want war with Iran, the war mongers will determine the outcome, unless we the people make the politicians fear for their jobs if they try to drag us into yet another war.
