Immigration policy smacks of creeping fascism

Ellen Cantarow writes: Secure Communities is first cousin to the National Defense Authorization Act, which authorizes indefinite detention of anyone judged, by the sole power of the executive, as aiding in “terror.” Anyone who knows the history of world fascism knows that when tyranny is on the march, “aliens” fall first, followed by all dissenters.
