Well, a few shades of grey

“The science of sin” (G section, May 21) included the following phrase: “Scientists used physical evidence — semen present in a woman as long as two weeks after unprotected sex — to conclude that women also had more sex than they admitted.” Is it just me, or is the choice of the word “admitted” rather accusatory? How about “reported” instead? Or maybe even “remembered”?
