In her May 26 op-ed “Small-town magic,” Alison Lobron compares her new home (Great Barrington) with her old one (Cambridge). The bottom line: Great Barrington’s residents are much friendlier and more laid back than the strident, edgy Cantabrigians.
Well, of course they are. There are only about 7,100 earnest, yoga-loving locavores in Great Barrington, compared to about 105,160 in Cambridge. Send another 98,000 people out to Great Barrington, and then let’s talk.
