Defense of general aviation missed specific target: insurer’s excess

Jeff Stone writes: In a May 26 letter David V. Dineen, executive director of the Massachusetts Airport Management Association, delivers a spirited defense of general aviation in response to a recent Metro column by Brian McGrory about Liberty Mutual. Curiously, however, McGrory had not attacked general aviation. His beef was with Liberty Mutual’s inordinate use of its jet fleet for what appeared to be personal junkets to vacation homes and posh resort destinations.
