THE LEAGUE of Women Voters of Massachusetts applauds the Globe’s opposition to current voter suppression legislation around the country, including requiring photo ID to vote (“A brief moment of candor,” Editorial, July 9).
Attempts to attach photo ID requirements to pending bills are occurring in the Massachusetts legislature. The League urges legislators to block this unnecessary and expensive “solution” to a problem — in-person voter impersonation — that does not exist.

I know a man that voted in the 2010 election twice, once for himself and once for his son, it happens all the time.
This mean the League favors voter fraud. The league is also seems to be advocating no photo IDs are needed for passports and licenses without the photo. Why do we need photo IDs at all? what is defined as no significant violations and who defines the quantity as significant and how would you know? Would election results matter if one candidate got a few more illegal votes ?
@migh: then you should report the voting fraud to the police.
