With public funds limited, time to explore other options for Greenway

RE “GREENWAY conservancy says state funding needed” (Business, July 25): The nonprofit conservancy that runs the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway in Boston has an obligation to the citizens of Massachusetts to become self sufficient.

As a lifelong resident of Boston, I have no desire to provide tax funds to maintain the Greenway or pay excessive salaries for the people who manage it, as long as there are viable options to raise money.
