Joanna Weiss’s column on the Republican Party’s silent moderates (“Scott Brown and the near-extinct GOP moderate,” Op-ed, Aug. 28) raised the question in my mind as to whether Weiss believes there is such a thing as a Democratic moderate. My definition of such would be someone who is concerned about the massive growth in our debt and who does not march in lock step to the mantras of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barack Obama. I look forward to reading the sequel to her informative column.
