RE “ALL wet in Concord” by Brian McGrory (Metro, Sept. 7): We may not have healthy drinking water for much longer, in any kind of container, if people don’t wise up and start putting preservation of the planet ahead of their own convenience. The other items McGrory cites may not be part of a healthy diet, but their impact on the environment is negligible compared to non-biodegradable plastic containers. Until we all make recycling a priority, towns such as Concord will do what they think best to keep their own microcosms healthy.
