How many riots erupted and people died when “Saturday Night Live” aired its parody of Tim Tebow and Jesus, or when CTV had Pamela Anderson play the Virgin Mary? That would be none — zero.
Why? Because good people of faith, reasonable people of faith, understand that living in a free society requires a certain amount of mutual respect, tolerance, and, to some extent, a thick skin.
If you’re going to live in a world where your neighbor has the right to have a different political opinion or religious belief than you, you’re going to get your feelings hurt. You’re going to disagree about something and be offended.

Hopefully, you’re secure enough with your own beliefs that you’ll deal with it in a rational, calm manner, and not burn down your neighbor’s house and kill the inhabitants.
