Warren’s scolding style is very much in the liberal mold

Regarding Elizabeth Warren’s attempt to be more likable, I would say good luck with that (“Warren may retool TV ads,” Page A1, Sept. 12). The Senate candidate comes across as preachy and scolding because, in my opinion, she is. She is a classic example of the “if only you were as smart as me, you would agree with me” liberal mentality, which is pervasive and infuriating.

As a reasonably moderate Republican living in Massachusetts, I run across this attitude frequently. When I lean a little left, I am taken for an intelligent, well-educated, well-rounded man, but should I lean a little right, I’m an idiot, a bigot, or worse.

Does the author of this letter have similar thoughts towards the likes of Rush Limbaugh and any regular host on Fox News, or are they partisan in their opinion on this matter?

Elizabeth Warren is running for the Senate, who cares what Limbaugh or Fox news says, it's irrelevant, just another liberal diversion. This letter writer is correct, Warren thinks she the smartest one in the room, she degrades working class people. She made this statement to her father, "Of course we can wallpaper, people dumber than us do it everyday", nice.

Rush Limbaugh seems to think he has the answer to everything.

I will take Elizabeth Warren's insights any day.

Warren is shrewish. It comes across loud and clear!

Why are conservatives so afraid of intelligence? Especially intelligent, well-spoken women (LOVE the term shrewish). Why is it OK for Sarah Palin to ridicule the president's "how's that hop-y, change-y thing workin' out for ya" but NOT OK for Elizabeth Warren to get forceful on the stump?

During an interview, Elizabeth Warren was telling her story about wanting to wallpaper her bathroom, her father said, we don't know how to wallpaper, her answer People dumber than us do it everyday, is this the intelligence you're talking about.... she degrades working people, but I know, she's very smart....

well, has it occurred to you that when you, as you put it (and it's interesting you don't mention specifics), "lean a little right," you are behaving like and being an idiod, a bigot, or worse?

What does "lean a little right" mean?

Hmm, I suppose that no conservative politicians ever comes across as preachy, soclding or holier than thou when talking about their "values".  If someone does not believe their same twisted interpretation of the bible they are blantantly insulted, denigrated, demonized or worse.  While you may feel insulted by liberal bias, women, minorities and LGBT people are faced by the reality of losing the same rights afforded to people of privilege.
