Regarding the second debate between Senator Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren: I thought a moderator’s role was to actually moderate, not attack. Using his media role to incite a political drama, instead of facilitating a thoughtful debate of the issues, David Gregory began with an aggressive attack Monday night, setting the style, tone, and content for what followed. Was he as bored as we are with the first question, regarding Elizabeth Warren’s heritage, and trying to make political leftovers more compelling?
Instead of becoming informed about the vast array of current issues we face, we voters got the same old baggage from the last debate, which had been led by a moderator with a respectful and neutral tone.
As a voter, I’m not interested in putting two gladiators in the political arena for entertainment. I would like to be informed.
