A sinking feeling about Sox front-runner

According to a recent article in Sports (“Jay’s losses could be Red Sox’ gain,” Oct. 6), in two years under manager John Farrell’s leadership, the Toronto Blue Jays went from what had been a winning record to breaking even last year and to a losing record this season, amid allegations of inadequate communication, preparation, and discipline.

If Farrell is now the top choice to manage the Red Sox, I’d hate to see the runner-up.
