A wish to take measure a step further

At age 90 and with increasing disabilities, I fervently hope that Question 2 on the Nov. 6 ballot, the Death with Dignity Act, will not only pass but be enlarged in scope. While the measure is a first step, I find it far from comforting that I would have to be within six months of dying and suffering intolerable pain in order to receive help in achieving a dignified death at a time of my choosing.
