As a small-business owner (whom the government DID help by way of a Small Business Administration loan), I cannot comprehend the current conversation about how my religious beliefs have the ability to affect my employees. If I owned a kosher market, I would not sell shellfish or pork. How ridiculous would it be if I were to tell my employees that they could not use the benefits I provide them to purchase these things to eat in their homes?
I understand the anti-abortion movement. But contraception should be handed out on every street corner to prevent abortion in the first place. And if you are against contraception, you should be for every government program that provides free prenatal care, paid maternity leave, day care, job training, and health care to every woman who now is bringing a child into this world. Until you can say you are doing that, keep your religious beliefs out of my doctor’s office.

You are completely free to offer whatever benefits you want to your employees. You are free to provide free contraception and birth control to your employees if you feel so strongly about it.
