Tierney’s years of service deserve recognition

I want to thank Eric Moskowitz (“Analysts find fault with Tisei charge,” Metro, Oct. 22) for digging beyond the personal assaults that have been distracting voters from the real issues, and writing a well-researched article casting light on the real work US Representative John Tierney has been doing in his 16 years of service to the Sixth District. Tierney well deserves this recognition of his consistent, often behind-the-scenes, efforts in not only helping the people of his district but in helping expose billions of dollars wasted on contracts in Iraq and Afghanistan, and advocating for redirection of defense money toward port and cargo security and away from ballistic missile defense.
