When Edward M. Kennedy first ran for the Senate in 1962, his campaign slogan boasted of his White House connections: “He Can Do More for Massachusetts.” The media wholeheartedly endorsed him for that reason.
In today’s race for the seat Kennedy occupied for decades, there is a parallel. Senator Scott Brown is the only Republican in the state’s delegation. If Mitt Romney is elected president, Brown could be the only delegation member with a White House blessing to open the doors of the federal bureaucracy, not only to access decision-makers but to exert real influence.

A Romney/Ryan/Brown scenario would be a disaster for women!
If dog...rabbit. Elizabeth Warren now leads by 6 in the polls, 50 to 44. This in a heavily Democratic state where Brown has to depend on Dem voters crossing over to vote for him. Not going to happen. He has run as a bipartisan and his voting record shows that is not true. He votes with the Republicans when they need his vote--at least 76 % of the time and always backing their filibusters. Further, Electoral College analyst, Guru Nate Silver, gives Obama about a 75% chance of winning. Any chance of having a Republican Senator from MASS under a Republican president are quite low. In addition, even best (worse) case, you think Romney would throw kisses to Mass when it would undoubtably be all those Red states to whom he owed favors. Scott has not even mentioned Romney that I am aware of. So forget about the what-ifs
PS: "If...Dog...Rabbit." It means that "If the dog hadn't stopped to take a s--t, he would have caught the rabbit."
