RE “IN Senate, Warren would lead where Brown has fallen short” (Editorial, Oct. 28): So, The Boston Globe, which has been continuously wringing its editorial hands over the loss of Republican moderates on Capitol Hill for more than a decade, has endorsed one of the most liberal senatorial candidates this year over one of the most moderate Republican senators, completely ignoring the fact that, if Elizabeth Warren is elected, it would lead to even more polarization and deadlock in Washington.
Why am I not surprised?

Elizabeth Warren will represent the state of Massachusetts and its values. Scott Brown has proven he simply doesn't represent this state and doesn't represent its values. He had his chance and blew it. He stalled and held out on "Don't ask, don't tell" for instance while representing a state that approved gay marriage (all civil rights issues). That alone makes him laughable and not to be taken seriously.
His naming of Antonin Scalia, who votes in unison with Clarence Thomas, as his favorite Supreme Court justice is demonstrated proof that he simply doesn't represent this state. Scott Brown is an empty barn coat driving an empty pickup truck to nowhere. His style will lose and Elizabeth Warren's substance will win.

Simply amazing. But not surprising. We live in the worst economy in history. Our kids are leaving college with little in terms of job prospects and enormous debt. Economic growth is utterly anemic. The middle class is being squeezed like never before. And what's your priority? Gays in the military? Really? REALLY? By all means, throw the bum out. Simply amazing.
I think Scott Brown is probably a nice guy, and I like a lot of things he says. But there's an enormous gap between what he says and how he votes. I'll take Warren, thanks.
Elizabeth Warren is not part of the problem. She is part of the solution. The scorched earth, take no hostages, US Congress, and the Mitch McConnell lead, never saw a filibuster that they didn't like, Senate need to face head on representatives who are committed to solving the jobs problem and facing the deficit problem with a BALANCED approach. Brown, a puppet for Grover Norquist, cannot, by definition, be bipartsan in solving the deficit issue since he has pledged that he will not consider raising revenue. A true bipartisan would be open to a BALANCED approach. Scott Brown, on this crucial issue, is not bipartisan. Was hoping to hear one actual idea he might have had for moving the country forward this week, but, I guess, sitting in the People's seat, he didn't have enough respect for the election debate process to face Warren tonight. Conduct unbecoming for our officer Senator.
Electing Warren will not fix anything. She's another lock step democratic vote who would vote anyway the dem party would expect her too. Remember, if elected, she's a novice who isn't familiar with poloticking. If you've ever seen her in public, you know what I mean. Not very comfortable around people and doesn't like tough questions. Most times I've seen her, they are staged events with many of her workers "protecting" her from us average joes.
Scott Brown signed the Grover Norquist pledge and he is a moderate? He voted in lockstep with the tea partiers and he is moderate? Oh, yes, compared to a guy like Akin, Brown is more than moderate... but come on...
