I read with great amusement Tom Keane’s Oct. 28 op-ed “A foolish tactic: Making fun of Romney may backfire on the Democrats.” I pity the sensitive undecided voting souls who get bruised feelings when, for example, President Obama mocks Mitt Romney for his bouts of “Romnesia.”
Obama is providing a rhetorically pointed outlet for Democrats and legitimate independents who are troubled by Romney’s hollowness and policy shifts, which have been so severe that they inflict whiplash. Keane seems to have assumed that readers haven’t noticed more than four years of anti-Obama mockery from Republicans that includes such juvenile fads as birtherism and accusations of closet socialism.

No, Romney's no fool...he's a liar and a sociopath...God help us if he somehow were to slither into the White House.
Whoa!...For a second there I had a flash back and thought you were talking about Bill Clinton. A proven liar, a known sociopath, a serial abuser of women (talk about a war on women), and the only elected president to ever be impeached; that is until (if we are unfortunate enough) Obama is re-elected.
Thanks for the update, trubl, I had no idea that Bill Clinton was running for Prez this year. But since it sounds like you're trying to say: Bill Clinton was bad too" I'll take that to mean that you are at least willing to acknowledge Romney's sociopathy. That's a good first step.
What I find incredibly scary is that there are so many people who either don't notice or care about all of Romney's policy shifts. His most recent lies show his disdain for voters, and reflect his 'win at all costs' strategy. I think of Orwell a lot now.
Making fun of Romney is perfectly legitimate because he IS a joke. He has blatantly lied about Jeep and staged a phony 'relief' effort using $5000 of his campaign funds to buy extra granola bars for storm victims. Doctoring his 2011 tax return to show he paid 14%, and destroying his computer hard drives from his years as MA govenor (wonder what he didn't want to have available in his archives?),and hitting the reset button over and over and over, should cause any thinking person to question just who is this guy and what he is offering besides SLOGANS.
